2023 marks the 30th Anniversary of A BATHING APE. And alongside crafting footwear of their own — such as reissued pairs of the Manhunt as well as new colorways of models the likes of the SK8 STA — the legendary streetwear label is celebrating the occasion with some help from adidas’ own catalog. Kicked off at the very beginning of the month, the festivities are seemingly nowhere near their end, with reports suggesting that we’re to see five collaborative installments by the end of the year.
After bringing the much-beloved STA logo to the Campus at the beginning of April, A BATHING APE is now redirecting their attention to yet another Three Stripes icon: the Forum Low. Two sample colorways of the collaborative model have surfaced within the past few days, both clad in the Japanese brand’s signature ABC Camo. But whereas their execution and details — e.g. the color blocking, materials, and 30th Anniversary graphics/dubraes — are largely the same, the colorways themselves are quite a bit different. One layers gold hardware and logos over top a classic, woodland-esque palette, while its counterpart pairs silver with a alternate blue version of the iconic pattern.
Enjoy an in-hand look at the two BAPE x adidas Forum Low Samples via the images shared ahead. At the time of writing this, no firm release date has been confirmed; it’s likely, however, that we’ll hear word from A BATHING APE and the Three Stripes very soon.
In other news, adidas themselves are preparing for 4/20 with the Campus 80s Croptober.
