The case is constructed out of stainless steel and is DLC coated, matching the muted black dial background. Although the Grand Date Technicolour sports all the haute horlogerie accouterments, the sporty nature of the AIKON is not lost. Aside from the robust 45mm steel case, the watch sports 100 meters of water resistance, a screw-down crown and a quick release system that allows for seamless rubber strap changing.

The Maurice LaCroix AIKON Grand Date Technicolour delivers on a dial matching rubber strap and an additional black rubber strap with the Maurice LaCroix wordmark displayed in relief and matching DLC hardware. With a retail price tag of $9,650 (a couple hundred dollars more than the all-black version), that might make you and your wallet wince a bit. That said, if you do gravitate towards this aesthetic from ML, then I suggest you take a gander at their AIKON #tide collection.
